Welcome to the Petchamp 2008 competition!
Do you reckon your pampered pooch should be top dog? Or have you got a cutest kitten in the world? Is your goldfish gorgeous? Or do you have the most incredible iguana?

If so, get your entry uploaded to Petchamp.co.uk. Any pet you own can enter be it a dog, cat, snake or iguana! The 8 winning categories are as follows, with one on-line video category:

Best Looking Pet - Cat - £500 cash - plus goodies
Best Looking Pet - All other pets - £500 cash - plus goodies
Cutest Pet - £500 cash - plus goodies
Most Unusual Pet - £500 cash - plus goodies
Funniest Picture - £500 cash - plus goodies
Looky likey - pets who look like their owners - £500 cash - plus goodies
Best Video - £500

We've made the site as easy to use as possible. Just upload your pictures and join in the fun, add your comments to other people's pictures, rate them and keep a note of your favourites.
You can enter the same picture into more than one category.
If you see a picture you know a friend would like it's easy just to send the link to them. You can also add your video to the video category too!

The closing date for competition entries is the 2nd September 2008 (you can add more pets after this point, but these will not be included in the competition for 2008 prizes). Once all entries have been received, a judging panel will select the top 12 in each category and the finalist pictures will be printed within the Daily Record newspaper, and highlighted on the petchamp site.

Each final entry will have a text/phone number for you to vote for your favourite in each category, with the most votes also receiving the ultimate prize as Petchamp 2008.
Final winners will be announced on Friday 26th September.

If emailing your entry, please supply a jpeg picture of your pet and supply your name, address and telephone number.

We have had to disqualify both the finalists below as these pets where not owned by the entrants who submitted them to the contest. We will be fully reimbursing everyone who voted for these two animals over the next two weeks. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
